MIKE'S PRINCIPLE OF REPUTATION BUILDING

Reputation is the picture you create in the mind of people either through the way you act or coordinate yourself. For Instance, if people considered you to be kind and have a good heart then you have a good reputation. I remember while we were still in secondary school,  Mike will always say "Do unto others what you want them to do to you." This principle has really helped me gain some respect to some extent. I also came across another word some times ago and it says:  ''Life is about give and take." So either doing unto others what you want them do to you or taking what you give back to life,  I believe some significant principles governs day to day living  and i will sum it up this way; Life is about reaping what you sow. Today I will be discussing on how to use Mike's (my friend)  principle to building a strong reputation. 

Be helpful

When you help people complete there task, there is every possibility that they will never forget you especially when they are so chocked and confused on how to go about it. Funny enough some people like to see their colleague suffer because they think it is non of their business to assist, well! technically they are right but according to mike's principle of Reputation building they are not. Building a good reputation requires you to to do unto others what you want them to do to you. We live in a world where everybody mind their business, this days people are more friendly with their Android phone than their fellow human. This simple act is gradually separating humanities. People need someone to render them assistance no matter how small. Taking such responsibility goes a long in reputation development. 

Be Humble

It has been discovered that humble employee last long in the business compared to those that are not humble. Meanwhile, being humble requires you to be at peace with yourself and others, remember reputation is the picture you create in the mind of the people around you. For instance, when you apologize at the necessary time, taking responsibility of your mistakes and exercising  patience when necessary, all these act are good virtue and by ding it you are psychologically appealing to the conscience of the people around you or better still your colleagues.  

 Sincerity  

In the cooperate world sincerity means mix of seriousness and honesty. If you do things with sincerity people will trust and believe in you. I once watch an American TV Series called Scandal through that movie i was meant to understand people (American according to Olivia Pope Love Sincere leaders) love sincere leaders. Imagine how people will love and respect you when you are honest with them. Sincerity is a  good virtue as far as reputation is concern.

Presentation  

Presentation in this perspective, simply means how you address technical issues, either in a large gathering or inter personally..... I will suggest at this juncture to always have a short note where you either write in bullet form or in other ways you feel might be helpful to you. what you say is very important especially when you are building good reputation. Reputation as the case may be doesn't end with what you say it also involves  HOW and WHEN to say it. This is when personal development comes in.  acereputation specializes in this area
